European cities unveil €29m smart energy project

The cities of Lyon, Munich and Vienna will launch a smart energy solutions project worth €29 million.

The five-year Smarter Together programme will be predominately funded by the European Commission, who is expected to inject €24 million.

The project will introduce improved smart data management platforms as well as smart services for integrated infrastructures. Approximately 17.2MW of renewable capacity will be installed.
