GDF Suez boosts focus on marine energy

20 Jan 2015
France’s GDF Suez announced its plans to double power generation capacity between 2015 and 2025 for renewable energy in Europe, focusing on marine energy.

As an industry leader in renewable energy investment, GDF Suez has made Europe energy transition the plank of its European investment strategy.

By 2025, GDF Suez plans to have 16 GW of renewable power generating capacity in Europe.
Moving forward, the group plans to develop a series of new generating technologies, focusing heavily on marine energies such as fixed and floating offshore wind, energy from sea currents and cooling systems for seaside cities that pump up cold water from deep below the service.
