Iran constructs Middle East’s first mobile power plant

Iran’s MAPNA Group has built two 25-MW mobile power plants for the first time in the Middle East, according Iran’s Mehr News Agency. 

MAPNA, the country’s largest power plant engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contractor, built and implemented the mobile power plants in two northern Iranian cities.

Both projects have been successfully synchronised in Noshahr and Behshahr and can be installed and launched in less than three months. According to MAPNA, the station can now enter the electricity grid in less than 25 minutes and can function under both gas and diesel fuel.
