Iran’s petrochemical industry has experienced a six per cent uplift in production over five months and a further 12 per cent rise in exports over the last four months, according to the director of Production Control in Iran’s National Petrochemical Company (NPC), Alimohammad Bosaghzadeh
“In the first five months, amount of production grew by six per cent as compared to the similar period last year even though output figures normally drop in the first half of the year due to complete
overhaul in complexes,” said Bosaghzadeh.
Iran’s production capacity for Iran’s petrochemical products is set to reach 72 million tons, a quantity that is worth $17 million dollars by the end of the present Iranian calendar year. New petrochemical projects are expected to on stream later this year to further boost output capacity.
