JGC set to build Philippine power plant

07 Jul 2016
Japanese engineering company JGC has announced it will be building a power plant project in Sarangani Province.

The company has said it will draw up the blueprints, procure materials and build it for Sarangani Energy. The 105,000kW coal-fired plant will lead to creation of many jobs and is expected to begin operations in April 2019.

This the first order that JGC has accepted for a coal-fired plant as it looks to reinforce operations beyond crude oil and natural gas.
