Kazakhstan establishes new ministry of defence industry

Kazakhstan has created a government ministry that will implement state policy in the areas of defence, aerospace and electronics, according to an order by the country’s President Nursultan Nazarbayev. 

The new Ministry of Defence and Aerospace Industry will also be focusing on state policy in the sphere of cyber security, mobilisation, formation and development of the state material reserve, military –technical cooperation and management of defence contracts. 

Beibut Atamkulov will be appointed as Minister of Defence and Aerospace Industry.
