Malaysia and Singapore have launched the search to find an expert development partner for one of Asia’s most impressive cross-border transport schemes.
The new high speed railway between Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia and Singapore will require six stations built along the railway’s route and two new termini.
The countries’ bilateral planning team will require a joint development to assist with advising on the project and many rail firms in China, Japan, Europe and The US will be invited to bid for the scheme.
Running at more than 300km/h, the new railway will reduce the journey between Kuala Lumpur and Singapore from 6 hours to 90 minutes.
