New Apple R&D lab in Grenoble

21 Jul 2016
Apple has signed contracts to open a new R&D lab in Grenoble, France which will concentrate on imaging technologies.

It is believed Apple chose the location due to a collaboration with semiconductor manufacturer STMicroelectronics, a company that supply components for some Apple products such as past iPhone models and the Apple Watch.

The facility will be approximately 800 square metres and will allow for a team of around 30 people.
