German wind turbine producer, Nordex is set to supply turbines with a capacity of 37.5MW for installation on a wind project in Poland.
The project, Orla, is being worked on by Nordex’s development arm, and is the first of which has been developed in this capacity by Nordex in Poland.
The wind farm itself if owned by international private equity investment group, C&C Wind.
The development will be made up of 15 N100/2500 Nordex turbines, with the first nine scheduled for commissioning for the end of 2014.
The other turbines will be in operation by the middle of 2015, adding to Poland’s already installed capacity of 3.4GW. 900MW of this was added in 2013, but development as a whole is set to slow down following regulatory uncertainty.
