Norway to shield oil and gas sector

15 Dec 2015

Norway’s prime minister, Erna Solberg has ignored talks of ending further off shore oil and gas exploration in Norway. This news comes after the recent UN climate summit in Paris where 200 countries voiced their commitment towards achieving zero net emissions for the second half of the century.

“We’re going to continue with oil and gas,” said Erna Solberg.

Norway has no plans of cutting back on the country’s production of oil and will continue trading as Europe’s largest exporter of oil.
