Number of finance jobs rising in the UK

15 Dec 2015

The British jobs market is booming and the number of job openings for finance and accounting positions has dramatically risen across the UK.

According to newly released figures, there has been an evident rise in the amount of finance jobs present in all professional sectors. Compared to last year’s statistics, both permanent and contract roles have increased. The jobs market is welcoming all candidates seeking short-term employment as temporary vacancies have grown by 2%. Research conducted by the Association of Professional Companies (Apsco) also found that the median pay of finance professional has risen by 10.8%.

“Many organisations may have thought of temporary workers as people to hold the fort during an absence, the reality is that the professional flexible workforce is now ‘the new normal’ – a trend that we predict will continue into 2016,” said Ann Swain, chief executive of Apsco.

2016 will be a favourable year for those candidates seeking employment within the finance sector. Many great opportunities are opening and candidates will have higher chances of securing the best positons the industry has to offer.
