Obama seeks to double renewable energy funding by 2020

08 Feb 2016

Barack Obama has announced in his 2017 budget proposal that he will double U.S investment in research for renewable energy sources by 2020.

The announcement follows the president’s final State of the Union address and his attendance at the Paris Climate Conference, which supported his administration’s efforts for pushing green energy.

The proposal will see the country commit $12.8 billion in research by 2020.
