08 Jul 2014
Northumberland based Osbit Power has signed a contract to supply crucial equipment to one of Japan’s clean energy projects.

Osbit Power will supply a key piece of safety equipment to the country’s first offshore wind farm.

The innovative MaXccess-T18 crew transfer system will help engineers work on the Fukushima Forward project by allowing them to access the floating turbine – supplied by Hitachi, and floating sub-station.

Situated off the coast of Japan in deep and rough waters, the project will help place Fukushima at the forefront of the country’s emerging alternative power industry.
