Petrobras announces Monthly crude oil and natural gas production

Petrobras’s average oil and natural gas production, in Brazil and overseas, in August, was 2,555,290 barrels of oil equivalent per day (boed), slightly lower than the previous month and 1.67% lower than the volume registered in August 2010.

As a result of an operational maintenance program on Marlim field platforms, on the FPSO-Cidade de Niterói (Marlim Leste) and the end of the Guará LDT, oil and natural gas production in Brazil in August remained relatively stable when compared to July 2011, reaching 2,321,880 boed. There was a small drop of 0.28% against the previous month in Brazil’s oil production, reaching 1,962,816 barrels per day.

Average natural gas production, excluding the liquefied volume in August 2011 was 57.1 million m³/d, about 0.7 million m³/d higher than the volume of July 2011
