Poland’s Energa receives $45m from state to launch new smart grid

Polish utility Energa has revealed that it has signed a deal with the state’s energy ministry to receive more than $45 million for the development of a new smart grid. 

Energy Minister of Poland, Krzysztof Tchorzewski, comments, “this is a tremendous support when the construction of modern power grids becomes a requirement of the time.” 

The full cost of the project is estimated at 240.6 million zlotys, according to Energa.
