£92m GSK investment set to create hundreds of construction jobs

03 Aug 2016

Hundreds of construction and engineering jobs will be created in the North East of England as GlaxoSmithKline commits to a £92 million investment at a major site located in County Durham.

The pharmaceutical giant plans to build a new aseptic sterile facility to make liquid bio-pharmaceuticals at its manufacturing base at Barnard Castle.

“A project of this size will create several hundred construction and engineering jobs over the next four years as we build and commission the facility,” said a spokeswoman from GSK.
