Research shows Australia needs to fill 35,000 mining jobs by 2030
09 Oct 2013
New studies have shown there is a gap in the Australian mining industry to find skilled workers.
The research has found that South Australia will need to fill an extra 35,000 mining jobs by 2030, which is more than double the current employment level of 15,000.
Although this poses some challenges, the increase in workforce needed will have a beneficial impact on the economy in the region, and will allow a skills base to be built which will directly impact and improve the skills of the South Australian work force.
