Russia set to build nuclear power plants in Nigeria

Russian state-owned company, Rosatom, is set to build a nuclear power plant in the South of Nigeria, according to the Nigeria Atomic Energy Commission. 

The deal's exact worth is unknown, although several reports suggest it is likely in the region of $20 billion.

The power plant is one of a number that Rosatom is currently eyeing on the continent. The company is also involved in discussions in Ghana and South Africa.
