Russia to help Iran build two nuclear power plants

Russia has voiced its plans to help Iran with the construction of two 20,000 MW power plants in the near future, according to IRNA reports. 

Ali Akbar Salehi, the head of the Atomic Energy Organisation of Iran, said Tehran has invested $10 billion into the construction of the two nuclear plants, following orders from President Rouhani. 

Russian Energy minister, Alexander Novak further confirmed the plans by announcing the launch of pre-construction works in Iran.
