Scottish oil & gas firms set to see £100m boost from US conference

07 May 2014
Scottish oil and gas companies are being cited as having the potential to win contracts worth more than £100 million over the next three years.

This forecast comes as a direct result of taking part in an industry leading conference in America.

Scottish Enterprise said that the Offshore Technology Conference, held in Houston, Texas could net this significant amount of business for the Scottish firms, as the event enables the firms to showcase their skills within the oil and gas sector.

The prediction is based on the increased international revenues from companies who took part in the same event last year, with more than 100,000 people from 40 countries expected to attend this year’s conference.
