Siemens awarded €395million contract for plant in Philippines

Siemens has been awarded an EPC contract by First NatGas Power to build a 414MW combined cycle power plant in Batangas City on Luzon Island.
The San Gabriel plant which is located approximately 110km south of Manila and will be built close to the 1GW Santa Rita and 500MW San Lorenzo plants.
The contract includes
of the plant, which will utilise a Siemens SGT6-8000H gas turbine with an efficiency of more than 60%. In addition, Siemens will supply a SST6-5000 steam turbine, a hydrogen-cooled SGen6-2000H generator, a Benson-type heat recovery steam generator, the electrical engineering, as well as the SPPA-T3000 control system.
Commissioning is scheduled for March 2016.
