Siemens Expanding Houston Operations

07 Apr 2015

Siemens AG is expanding their US operations by establishing a new oil and gas headquarters in Houston’s Energy Corridor.

The engineering giant has made this key move to expand its involvement in US fossil fuels and to capitalise on the shale boom.

This expansion follows Siemens agreement last year to buy Houston-based oil field equipment maker Dresser-Rand Group for $6.5 billion.

Siemens already has a significant presence in Houston, employing 2000 people across the region, and this new expansion will allow the European engineering company to strengthen its influence, giving it access to a large range of customers across the energy landscape.
