PK ORLEN, Eastern Europe’s largest mineral oil company, has awarded a contract to Siemens AG and Siemens Sp. z o. o. to deliver a CCGT unit in Plock and a comprehensive O&M contract for the unit’s key equipment. The projects are valued at PLN 1.3bn and PLN 0.3bn, respectively, and will cover a period of approximately twelve years.
The 596MWe CCGT unit in Plock will enable high-efficiency co-generation, vastly improving the efficiency of heat and power generation processes. An important part of the project will be the deployment of an advanced gas turbine technology with one of the highest efficiency ratings available on the market (H class).
The majority of permits have been secured for the project, including a building permit and network connection agreements with Polskie Sieci Elektroenergetyczne and Gaz-System. The projects are planned to be delivered in 36 months.
