EnQuest, the oil and gas development and production company, has awarded Technip with an engineering, procurement, installation and construction contract. This includes fabrication and pipelay of over 100km of pipe and hydro testing.
The contract covers the Kraken development in the North Sea, at a water depth of approximately 120 metres.
Technip’s operating centre in Aberdeen will execute the contract, and a number of vessels from the company’s fleet will be used, including Technip’s Deep Energy. All construction work on the project will be carried out via driverless construction methods.
