Technip awarded USD100m onshore terminal EPC contract in India

17 Dec 2014
Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Limited (ONGC) has awarded Technip a contract worth approximately USD$100 million to build a six million standard cubic meters per day onshore terminal at Odalarevu in Andhra Pradesh, India. This is a part of the integrated development for the Vashishta (VA) and S1 fields.

The project will involve an engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning (EPCC) contract that includes basic design, detailed engineering, procurement, fabrication, inspection and testing, installation, pre-commissioning and commissioning at the new onshore terminal facilities that will be integrated into the existing terminal.

Hydrocarbon extracted from VA and S1 deepwater offshore fields will be transported to the proposed onshore oil and gas terminal for processing.

The project strengthens the strategic collaboration with ONGC for the future whilst confirming Technip’s position as a tier one EPC contractor in the Indian oil and gas sector.

Technip’s operating centre in Delhi, India, will be managing and executing the project that is scheduled to be competed in the second half of 2016.
