Thai firm invests $2.08bn in China nuclear power plant

Thailand’s leading power producer, Ratchaburi Electricity Generating Holding Plc has announced it will invest $2.08bn in a nuclear power plant located in China.

China General Nuclear Group and Ratch plan to set up a joint venture to build the second phase of a nuclear power plant based in Fangchenggang city in Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region.

This is one of many nuclear power plants being built across China as the country looks to quickly expand its nuclear sector.
