U.S President Donald Trump has unveiled a budget that includes a substantial rise in military spending and a down payment on a US-Mexico border wall.
The $54 billion boost for the military is the largest since President Ronald Reagan's Pentagon build-up in the 1980s.
The budget also revealed reduced spending on campaign targets that include foreign aid, the Environmental Protection Agency, medical research, help for homeless veterans and community development grants.
The budget plans to be formally released on Thursday and is titled America First: A Budget Blueprint to Make America Great Again.
