Turkey to built its third nuclear power plant by 2019

22 Oct 2014
Turkey’s Prime Minister has announced plans to build a third nuclear power plant in the country by 2019.

The national project will be built by Turkish experts and will only go ahead when a sufficient workforce has been put together to build the plant.

The country already has two ongoing nuclear power plant projects, one is to be built in the Mediterranean region of Mersin, by Akkuyu Nuclear. The other will be built through Japanese-Turkish cooperation in Sinop, the Black Sea region of Turkey.
