The UK’s first ever shipment of shale gas from United States has arrived in Scotland. The tanker which carried 27,500m3 of shale gas has arrived at Grangemouth refinery and petrochemicals plant owned by Ineos.
Ineos has publicly announced that the gas would secure the future of the plant’s workforce and also that added that access to cheap US shale gas will transform the economics of Grangemouth.
