Ukrainian aircraft manufacturer Antonov has partnered with China’s Aerospace Industry Corporation to facilitate the serial production of the world’s largest aircraft, the AN-225 Mriya (‘Dream’). The AN-225 model has a takeoff mass that amounts to 640 tons and a working load of 250 tons.
The aircraft will be built in China and the first AN-225 could be produced as early as 2019, according to officials. All manufacturing rights and technological documents of the air-freighter design will belong to the China Aerospace company.
