26 Jul 2016
Swedish energy firm Vattenfall is set to invest £300 million in a 11-turbine off shore wind farm, located off the coast of Aberdeen.

Vattenfall also stated in a press release that the offshore wind text and demonstration facility would be the largest of its kind in Scotland.

"This project will keep our nation at the forefront of innovation by allowing energy companies to identify new ways to reduce operating costs," said Energy Minister, Paul Wheelhouse.

Work is scheduled to commence at the end of 2017, with the project expected to generate power by 2018.
