(Agile) Digital Product Owner - Gloucester

Spencer Ogden are currently working with a key client seeking an experienced Digital Product Owner to join their Gloucester based head office.

You'll have a great understanding of the art of the possible when it comes to digital customer experience - a good knowledge of what an engaging, personal and effortless experience looks and feels like, and what the latest developments and opportunities are in this space.

A big part of your role will be engaging with other teams across the business - understanding what they need from the organisation's digital channels and ensuring that they're fully engaged in the process. So, although you'll understand the technical side of things you'll be great at communicating that in simple non-technical language to everyone else.

Your day to day responsibilities will include:

-Create the strategic roadmap for the organisation's digital customer experience

-Gather and maintain a list of all requirements for the future evolution of their website and online customer journeys.

-Prioritise these requirements according to customer need, strategic importance and business value

-Articulate the vision and goals at the start of each development sprint to ensure that what's being delivered is what's needed

-Engage with all relevant people (including customers) to ensure that what they are building meets their needs and expectations - this will include their editorial/content team, graphics team, Sales,
Customer Service, Customer Operations, Credit Management and People teams and their Comms team

-Act as the primary interface between all the above and the Web Development team, participating in all daily scrums/meetings/reviews with them

-Review and approve all digital customer experience developments

-Monitor performance of all digital customer experience journeys to ensure that they continue to meet the customers needs, sharing performance data with key stakeholders to ensure that they are constantly looking for ways of raising the bar.

In order to be successful for this opportunity, you will have experience in the following:

-Senior experience working on the delivery of end-consumer commercial web and mobile digital products - ideally (but not a prerequisite) with experience as a 'Product Owner' within an Agile development framework

-Experience of owning product strategy, direction and feature realisation for at least one digital product end to end

-Exposure to, and an ability to critique, modern best practice UI and UX design

-Experience in building digital roadmaps and prioritising features with senior stakeholders

-Experience in communicating and controlling the delivery of digital roadmap features within Technology teams

-Key source of knowledge of all things digital to business owners

-Strong stakeholder relationship management skills at all levels
