Data acquisition via handheld data collector and monitoring systems
Perform vibration analysis on rotating equipment
Perform shaft ring installment on all type of motors
Perform laser alignments on all types of fan systems
Perform critical speed testing and programming on all types of VFD's
Perform mechanical troubleshooting on all types of equipment
Perform commissioning and acceptance testing on new equipment
Provide concise and urgent reports including recommendations for repairs of mechanical equipment
Design data bases for each building
Additional tasks may involve weekend/evening work, as well as travel and overtime work on occasion
Machine fault diagnosis
Excellent computer skills
Strong understanding of machinery and electromechanical fundamentals
Able to recognize opportunities for our clients that will benefit equipment reliability is a definite plus
Understanding of how a commercial building operates along with pumps, fans, generators, cooling towers & critical systems (not required but desired).
Must possess excellent writing and verbal skills in relation to the technical aspects of this work.
Bachelor's degree in mechanical / electrical engineering
Minimum 5 years applicable field experience
Level 2 vibration analyst certification and 4 years analysis experience
Preferable knowledge of Emerson CSI software and 2130 vibration meter
