The role of AC Engineer is responsible for efficiently operating, maintaining and managing the building services to specified standards. The AC Engineer will perform maintenance, repair, de-commissioning and re-commissioning of systems and equipment within the scope of their specific disciplines, with the minimum of supervision.

The AC Engineer ensures that all plant and AC systems within the portfolio are maintained to the highest standards applicable.


 To maintain optimum performance and standards of client premises and operate allocated sites professionally and effectively in line with Company Standards.
 Ensuring plant/equipment in accordance with the Planned Preventative Maintenance System to ensure design parameters are maintained.
 To take a pro-active approach to client liaison and ensure that concerns are dealt with or relayed to management as necessary.
 Conduct appointed tasks ensuring compliance with Company Safety Policy, Procedures, relevant Codes of Practice and Statutory Regulations. .
 Assist in the implementation and operation of a planned maintenance system, by co-ordinating and ensuring the adequacy and accuracy of data input to the system across an area of responsibility as directed.
 Repair defective equipment effectively or recommend remedial action as appropriate.
 Carry out routine planned maintenance work.
 Assist in the identification and ordering of spare parts.
 Assist as required in the installation and commissioning of new equipment.
 Assist in the implementation of improvements to the Company and Regional Procedures and systems, making recommendations as appropriate.
 Participate as required in duty standby/call-out rosters and emergency response teams as required..
 Stand-in, as required, for Area colleagues.

Weekly, monthly & annual planned maintenance inspections on:
*AC Systems VRV, VRV, Multi split system
*Ventilation & AHU's,
*Fan coil units,
*LTHW System & associated equipment
*Extract systems, water treatment,
*General lighting
*Good Understanding of M&E Building Services Equipment & Plant Drawings.
*Sewage / fresh water systems
*Fault finding and ability to work alone with little intervention from supervisor.


*Recognised City & Guilds, ONC or NVQ certificate in Air Conditioning / Refrigeration practical and theory Building Services industry including diagnostic and testing/inspection certificates.
*Minimum 5 years' experience in the Building Services or Maintenance industry as a recognised trade Technician.
*Ability to work on BMS
*Full driving licence
*Able to cope under pressure.
*FGas - Qualified and or Commercial Gas - Qualified & valid
*Ability to work on electrical systems (basic electrical knowledge) Proof of manufactures training i.e Mitsubishi, Daikin, Toshiba - Courses
*Fault Finding / Maintenance of AC Systems
*Training in Manufactures Controls Systems - I.E Group Controllers for Multi splits / system

The successful candidate will need to complete a Disclosure Scotland Criminal Check & undergo a Drug Screening Test.
