The Role

The Account Manager will be accountable for driving key strategic accounts for the business to achieve the very highest level of revenue generation both individually and cross company. The Account Manager will be accountable for service offering, delivery and service evaluation for a number of key clients. They will actively develop relationships with senior level candidates and clients for the sector as a whole. Acting as a role model for consultants, being a sound representative for the company and brand as a whole. Supporting Manager in execution of sales strategy of the division.

Sales & Business Development

  • Custodian of key client (S) to taking full responsibility for implementing the day-to-day recruitment process
  • Identifying and building strong relationships with key stakeholders/hiring managers
  • Communicating with and supporting the client’s HR/In-house recruiters and hiring managers through the hiring process, adding value to their experience
  • Working closely with a delivery team to ensure we present high quality candidates in the most cost and time effective manner
  • Responsible for ensuring that Spencer Ogden is penetrating all areas of the client that are relevant to our business model (geographical & vertical markets) and utilise cross divisional relationships & communication to develop cross selling opportunities
  • Ensuring that the candidates/service we are delivering is of the best quality and fit for the client’s needs leading to growth in revenue with that client
  • Responsible for managing contract reviews, rate negotiation and ensuring that any ad hoc contractual situations are dealt with in a timely manner
  • Book regular face to face meetings with existing and target stakeholders to maintain and develop future business
  • Present and sell Spencer Ogden’s account management and spot business services including USPs and business strategy/goals
  • Manage business pipeline to meet monthly, quarterly & annual budgetary requirements


  • Writing persuasive ad copy for retained assignments representative of the client’s brand
  • Dealing with response and enquiries, assessing suitability of candidates
  • Arranging interviews for candidates with client, providing detailed information to both parties
  • Managing the offer process with confidence, handling tricky offers with confidence and gravitas
  • Ensure level of contact is made post placement or during contract with candidates and clients
  • Set personal targets with Managers on a daily, weekly and monthly basis
