Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain a network of counterparties to source private lending transactions
  • Analyse and evaluate investments and present opportunities to the investment committee and the Board
  • Negotiate deal terms with the management team of potential investments; structure transactions; and review of legal agreements
  • Apply investment philosophy and credit discipline in the context of both the assessment of investment opportunities
  • Detailed quantitative and qualitative investment analysis, presentation and documentation, approval and closing
  • Management and monitoring of the current portfolio companies
  • Strive to make a positive impact on the team by developing strong working relationships and demonstrating strong commitment to the team's goals

Qualifications:

  • 9+ years relevant work experience in private credit or special situation investing
  • Extensive industry relationships and significant expertise in investment origination, deal structuring, credit analysis or principal investing
  • Strong academic record with a bachelor's degree in business, economics, accounting or finance
  • Ability to make investment decisions supported by rigorous credit analysis and due diligence within a strong risk management framework
  • Ability to effectively communicate investment strategies to internal and external constituents
  • An entrepreneurial spirit with a deep-rooted desire to make a positive impact on the team
