My client, a large organisation speacialising in the Manufacture of various Building and Construction Products.
Managing 5 Quarries across the Highlands of Scotland, you will be responsible for Management. Health and Safety and Production.
The Area Quarry Manager role is to support and to provide an overview of the day-to-day operations for extraction and production in the quarries within the area. The main duties of the Area Quarry Manager are leading the unit managers/supervisors ensuring that health, safety and environmental requirements are effectively considered and observed and to promote a culture of health & safety excellence whilst ensuring cost effective, efficient and quality production of the product

RESPONSIBILITIES: You will be responsible for the safe and efficient management and operation of the quarries within your remit covering the production of aggregates, asphalt and ready mix concrete. You will lead the team the correct focus to generate production requirements and targets are met, whilst conforming to quality meets the agreed specifications. In doing so,

* You will be required to demonstrate a sound knowledge of blasting operations, crushing and screening, maintenance activities and have the ability to effectively plan and organise multiple operations.
* You will be responsible for guiding and managing others, whilst handling or supporting any people related matters associated with the management, wellbeing and commitment of our team in the area.
* You will be responsible for any statutory procedures and reporting requirements for ongoing license to operate and ensure compliance with planning constraints and other applicable regulations.

You will be responsible, in conjunction with your team, for the monitoring of plant condition and performance, management of plans and activities and effective use of maintenance services to ensure ongoing capability to produce at required performance. You will develop and implement planned and preventative maintenance schemes for the units
