Area Sales Manager - Industrial Service and Battery Refurbishment

My client is seeking an experienced Area Sales Manager for the Industrial Service and Battery Refurbishment Sales, you will be representing the business to customers, identifying their needs, understanding the issues that they have or are currently facing, resolving issues and questions and exploring and developing new business opportunities.
The area sales manager will work with customers helping them to set the strategy and vision maintain and prevent mission critical infrastructure.
Covering the south region for Industrial Service Sales and nationally for Battery Refurbishment Sales. You will work within a highly motivated and experienced team that will support you every step of the way either in conducting sales or in offering all the necessary pre-sales and technical knowledge.
My client offers an intensive 90 day training programme to provide you with every opportunity to deal with any situation that may arise.
The ideal candidate will have experience in field sales from either rail or battery markets and be able to move from client to client with efficient agility.

Key Responsibilities:
Main Point of Contact for customers.
The post holder will reach out to the company's existing network of customers on a regular basis. They will gather market feedback on the company's products and services while developing new avenues and opportunities to sell.
They will present new products or solutions through presentations and discuss all options for the client with the in house technical experts.

Seek new avenues and drive the business.
In addition to contacting existing customers the area sales manager will identify and engage with new businesses discussing how the company can add value to the company. They will champion success and show new customers how they were managed and discuss business plans.

Add value to the company.
Keep recording systems up to date and accurate, run analysis when required, engage with team meetings and share feedback from customers. Part the new knowledge you gather about the market, competitors and challenges you have faced. Share your view about industry development and the future of the market and business.

Continue to grow and develop
Be open minded and take advice from leading industry experts, take part in industry events and continually develop market knowledge including any advancements within the market and technical developments. Take part in sales training and self-development to improve the service you provide to customers.

Present your own ideas of how the team can improve, look at the customer journey and seek ways to add value to it.

Approach everyday with responsibility, honesty and integrity and be fully aware that all your actions impact on your customers, company and self-development.

Experience & Qualifications:
*HND/HNC OR Electrical/Electro-Mechanical Engineering degree
*Minimum of 2 years Sales Experience, with the ability to negotiate and close deals.
*Sound knowledge and understanding of the UPS systems, in the Industrial arena, ideally in the Rail Sector
*Very good knowledge of the UK market
*Very good computer skills
*Valid Driving License
