Assistant QA Manager

One of the UK's leading providers of the highest quality lamb, sheep and mutton products. We have an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Quality Manager. This is a full-time role.

Reporting to the Quality Manager you will contribute towards ensuring that systems, procedures and training are maintained to provide the customer with a product that meets their specifications at all times. Assist in preparation for third party audits including BRC, Red Tractor and Halal certification. Ensure that good housekeeping and hygiene standards are maintained/ improved throughout the site and are audited. Record and communicate internal audit results with relevant departments ensuring that all corrective action has been completed within the agreed timescale.

Demonstrate uncompromising responsibility for quality control, quality assurance, food safety and legality.

Ensure all documentation is correctly completed and filed appropriately


Knowledge Skills and Qualifications:

Experience of auditing both as an auditor and auditee. Knowledge of BRC, Red Tractor, Halal and FSA requirements.

Intermediate Food Hygiene, HACCP qualifications (ideally RSPH level 3 or above) and internal auditor trained.

Knowledge of retailer requirements in a low risk food environment desirable. Word, excel and powerpoint proficient
