Associate Director - Distributed Energy

My client are currently recruiting for an Associate Director to join an expanding team at an exciting time. The focus of the business is decentralised and distributed energy consulting working on a range of challenging UK & International projects.

The chosen candidate should be in a position to enhance my client's market knowledge within distributed energy and play a major part in identifying and securing new business within this market through proactive project leadership.
Responsibilities:

Business Development

*Identifying and converting business opportunities in line with the market strategy (Distributed Energy and Demand Management).
*Preparing commercial and technical bids/tenders/proposals.
*Developing and maintaining key client relationships to ensure repeat business.

Project Management

*Project Director for appropriate group projects, taking ownership for sustained and productive client relationships.
*Ensuring the financial success of multiple projects across the group through both technical and economic management.

Leadership

*Mentoring Associates through to Senior Engineers across a team of 8 Engineers.
Technical
*Ensure the quality of reports and drawings produced by the team.
*Lead the engineering design excellence within the team.

Requirements:

*Degree educated, ideally to Masters Level within a relevant discipline i.e. Engineering, Construction, Management etc.
*A Chartered Engineer or currently studying towards Chartership
*Previous experience working within the Distributed Energy Market (a minimum of 3 years)
*Exposure to international work on Infrastructure or preferably Energy sector projects.
*A strong Project Management professional, preferably with a suitable Project Management qualification
*Client facing personality and the ability to lead a team.
