Associate director - Mechanical - Building services

This is a chance for you to join one of the UK's leading Building Services Consultancies who pride themselves on providing sustainable multi-disciplined design services. They provide sustainable engineering solutions to a very high standard which has helped the consultancy grow. This can be seen by the company having a consistently high workload mainly through repeat business and client recommendations.

The role will involve you providing management to an engineering group as group leader, ensuring you monitor and deliver projects effectively whilst maintaining professionalism, completing all design activities and ensuring maximum profitability by effectively utilising the resources available.

Main responsibilities

*Maintain client relationships to achieve repeat business whilst always looking to develop new opportunities
*Carry out staff appraisals and report any concerning staff performances, coordinate holiday leave within the group and identify and implement any training you feel is necessary within the group
*Ensure all designs respond to the CDM regulations and implement QA systems and procedures on all projects
*Complete regular 'in house' design reviews to ensure all design projects and reports within the group are to a consistently quality standard
*Monitor resources relative to different projects in accordance with monthly allowable fee expenditure, two-weekly engineering workload forecasts and defining monthly CAD requirements

Role requirements

*Minimum of 10 years' experience
*Understand clients objectives and requirements
*Membership of a professional engineering body
*Excellent client facing and management skills
*Good knowledge of statutory legislation and standards
*Commercial awareness and acumen
