This role will typically take responsibility for management of people, commercial issues and an interface with the wider project team. In this capacity Associates represent our client internally and externally on behalf of the group. As a key part of the Engineering team, your responsibilities will be varied but will broadly include:
What will I be doing?
Preparation of specifications engineering design and analysis
Checking the work of other Engineers
Leadership of projects on behalf of the group, taking ownership for sustained and productive client relationships.
Overseeing less experienced team members as they create design and achieve project success.
Analysis models using commercial software, including RAM, SAP, ETABS, SAFE, etc
Set up, manage and review job/project administrative systems, including planning and monitoring job resourcing/expenditure
Undertake detailed engineering design for gravity and lateral systems of building structures
What Can I bring to the role?
As an experienced and established Associate Engineer, it is expected that you would be able to demonstrate:
Typically 10 - 15 years' experience in structural building engineering experience.
Professional Engineer (P.E.)
Experience in high-rise structural design required.
An outstanding foundation as a technical and project leader;
Track record of successful project delivery
Mentoring and leadership experience of other Engineering professionals, desire and ability to support in developing individuals skills, whilst encouraging collaboration and cohesive teamwork.
Experience in post-tensioned concrete design is a plus.
BS degree, MS preferred
Confident, proactive character, able to take the lead in challenging situations
Good experience with BIM tools such as REVIT.
