My client is looking for a Commercial Analyst to join their growing team. The Commercial Analyst will be reporting to our Commercial Manager and working closely alongside the companies Data Science and Technology teams to help inform business strategy and ensure our market leading solutions stay ahead of the curve. This is a new role and will be working on multiple tasks simultaneously and the Commercial Analyst must be confident working with a variety of teams and projects.
*Commercial analysis and support
oWorking alongside data scientists creating reports based on performance, and creating internal reports for investors and finance team.
oUsing analytical skills such as quantitative research to support the whole team.
oProducing risk and scenario analysis reports.
oPlay a vital role in market analysis and research of international market demand.
oAssess the commercial value of new services.
oCommercial agreements and business case development.
*Policy, sales & marketing support
oUnderstand and research emerging technologies that are linked to the business (battery storage, energy storage).
oBrief the business on vital issues and analysis of policy and regulatory issues.
The successful Commercial Analyst will have:
*A minimum of 2 years' similar work experience.
*Strong quantitative background.
*High level of literacy, written communication and analytical skills.
*High level of numeracy & commercial judgement.
*Strong Excel modelling skills.
*A natural and effective problem solver in particular with unstructured tasks.
*Intelligent and critical thinker.
*Interest or expertise in the energy market.
*Genuine excitement for new technologies and their impact both within the company and market.
*Commercial and financial acumen.
*Excellent communication skills, demonstrable when articulating data to large audiences
*Bachelor's degree in a relevant subject, achieving at least a 2:1
*Post-graduate education (such as a Masters') is desirable, but not essential
