The Opportunity

Our client is a pioneer in developing a large pipeline of new projects in Australia and needs to

find a market outcome for its electricity in the form of long-term offtakes. In addition, we are seeking to build its commercial team to develop, market and sell new electricity products or services (including from its fast-growing batteries’ portfolio). We want to be able to seize opportunities in the electricity market by positioning itself favorably with large electricity consumers and buyers (including retailers).

Your role will be to manage the commercial side of the projects and create opportunities for our client. You will be part of the Energy Management Australia team, benefiting from its market knowledge. You will interact transversely with the development team, the finance team, the procurement team and the construction team. You will oversee answering tenders for energy or services organized by consumers, governments or AEMO. You will engage with their potential customers (and their advisers) to understand their requirements, increase their customer (and competition) awareness, and propose and develop new strategies to boost their market channels.

Main Missions

  • Elaborate compelling commercial offers
  • Negotiate commercial and legal terms of Power Purchase Agreements or similar commercial agreements
  • Create and maintain working relationship with potential electricity buyers and hydrogen project partners
  • Elaborate strategies to broaden market reach

  • Energy market players (retailers, brokers, traders)
  • Governments
  • Corporates with significant electricity load
  • Internal teams: Energy management, Development, Finance, Procurement, Construction
  • External legal advisors and consultants


About You

  • Degree in business or engineering
  • 5+ year experience in the energy industry with a strong understanding of electricity markets
  • Demonstrated sales and business development skills
  • Strong negotiation capabilities
  • Autonomy: you will be responsible for delivering tenders responses and commercial proposals
  • Strong drive to conclude deals and proactive attitude
  • Fluent in English
