Commissioning and Service Engineer - Energy Storage Solutions

My client is a leading global Energy Storage company based in Germany and they are seeking a Commissioning and Service Engineer to join their fast growing team. The company provides energy storage projects and technologies in over 160 countries.

Job Description

The successful Energy Storage Commissioning Engineer will drive energy storage projects commissioning and to support project delivery.

Responsibilities

The Energy Storage Commissioning Engineer will:

* Commission the companies projects working in cooperation with stakeholders, construction managers, contractors, suppliers, telecommunication teams, control systems teams.
* Resource, Schedule, Develop and Execute commissioning plans.
* Provide commissioning services to achieve commercial operations, and handover from the delivery and construction teams to the Operations and Maintenance team for each project.
* Outline, develop and deliver testing protocols.
* Oversee complete commissioning and testing of the following systems:
- Project networks, communications, and control systems;
- Balance of plant relay protection, metering, HVAC, fire suppression, and electrical systems;
- Battery subsystem;
- Inverter subsystem;
* Perform electricity market and qualification testing.
* Report on commissioning execution seek ways to improve commissioning processes and documentation.
* Support projects in operations as a subject matter expert in the areas of communications, control system and remote troubleshooting
* Frequent travel to projects for commissioning will be required

Qualifications

* Undergraduate degree in electrical engineering with least four year's professional work experience in related field, such as construction, commissioning, project management, performance testing, and troubleshooting.
* Must be fluent in English and one other mainland Europe language.
* Knowledge and experience with SCADA protocols
* Experience with Managed Ethernet Switches, Media Converters (Fiber & Serial).
* Experienced in engineering design.
* Ability to write specifications and work plans for others to implement.
* Desire to take responsibility and initiative.
* Proven capability in managing contractors and working on fast moving projects.
* Solid skills on MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
