Our client is a global leader in smart energy and wind technology and is looking to bring on a Commodity Manager in the Hamburg area of Germany to manage the commodity and procurement activities surrounding transport, Cranes and installation of wind farms. Service Technician duties and responsibilities:
* Maintain and establish preferred supplier lists (PSL) in alignment with regions
* Manage, control and monitor all TCI Procurement activities
* Create a cost baseline for defined commodities in regions and/or country specific
* Support/lead supplier qualifications
* Introduce and implement Procurement/Sourcing strategies targeting maximum contribution to the operating results
* Identify particular Procurement risks, opportunities and potential changes
* Implement, define and align negotiation concepts and strategies to maximize savings
* Transfer global knowledge to regions

Commodity Manager desired experience:
* Bachelor's / Master degree in Electrical or Civil Engineering or commercial with detailed technical background
* Experience of at least 5 years, ideally in Wind Industry and has already gained experience in a multinational environment
* Experience in market & supplier assessments
* Prior experience of working in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment as well as the ability of working independently
* Strong listening and analysis skills to understand the business needs and identify solutions
* The ability to find effective solutions by taking a holistic but practical perspective
* Easily interact and cooperate with different stakeholders of different backgrounds in international environment
