Role:

*Assist the Rail Compliance Manager for developing and delivering an effective monitoring and advisory regime for Statutory Compliance and, where applicable Service Delivery, that enables the Region / nominated business sectors to comply with company and Client standards, statutory requirements and industry best practice throughout its operations and services.

Key Responsibilities:

*To assist the Rail Compliance Manager in the development and implementation of a suitable compliance assurance programme, identifying potential risks and recommending appropriate remedial action where necessary, to ensure that all operations comply with legislative and company requirements in order to retain our Principal Contractors Licence and POS Provider Status with the client

*To assist the Rail Compliance Manager to devise and up-date the Regions, statutory compliance and service delivery/mobilisation assurance processes and procedures such that they reflect the needs of the business and deliver effective, pragmatic, robust and progressive assurance management strategies to the division and its operations

*To assist the Rail Compliance Manager in achieving compliance with the legislative and procedural expectations of the client, HSE, and ORR to ensure that Site Managers within the Regions are provided with appropriate mechanisms to meet their statutory compliance and best practice service delivery obligations

*To have a thorough and detailed working knowledge of current statutory compliance legislation and advice (Rail Standards and Rule book), thereby verifying the Regions compliance levels with all its statutory obligations

*Provide Rail Compliance guidance, advice and support to the Region to ensure that Internal Management Systems are compliant and meet the client requirements

*Act as point of contact with Site Managers and when required clients for all issues relating to Rail Compliance

*Conduct internal audits on all rail contracts folders to confirm validation by means of verification that a three stage paperwork process of; 1) Planning and production. 2) Use on site. 3) Return and verification is being adhered to Conduct site visits to verify that our Principal Contractors Licence and POS Provider Status with the client are being used in the correct way and to use and promote atall lifesaving rules

*To assist and or lead on investigations into specific breach of statutory obligations or alleged breaches in the Sentinel Scheme Rules and ensure appropriate records are maintained, to ensure that any incident is dealt with appropriately and in accordance with legislation or guidelines and identifying any action that is required has been closed out

*Develop and drive the programme of internal and external audits including site inspections are sufficient to ensure compliance with the requirements of RISQS registration, PC Licence and POS Provider status. This also includes but is not limited to Sentinel Scheme Rules, Working Hours, RIP's, ALO and CRT

*To analyse the results of audits and statistics and provide regular reports to the Rail Compliance Manager on overall risk management performance
