- You have complete authority to stand down any subcontractor employee, any subcontractor, and you have
- complete authority to close down a job site to all subcontractors and employees if you determine there is an imminent or pervasive threat to property, life, or safety
Before Construction begins (all documents referenced are found in BuildingBlok)Read and familiarize yourself with the Mandatory Minimum Quality Control guideline for (Client) field ManagersRead and familiarize yourself with (Client) standard Sub Contract agreementAsk the Senior Project Manager (SPM) if there are any material inclusions or exclusions you should be aware of that apply to your subs and this projectRead and familiarize yourself with any Scopes of Work (SOW's) your SPM has written for your jobReview the MS Project Schedule with your SPMRead and familiarize yourself with the AHJ approved plans
Job site DocumentationMandatory Job site safety folder must be on site on Day 1 of mobilizationAHJ approved plans - ensure the revision is currentSSSP must be on site or available electronically from all Sub Contractors before ANY work startsOperator Certifications must be produced or available electronically for all equipment operators before any use of equipment begin

GeneralTake 5 to 10 photo's daily representing progress of work and upload to BuildingBlok no less than once weeklyInspect the subcontractor work daily for quality control.
Raise any deficiencies with the site foreman that require remediationInsist that all QC remediation is done at the earliest practical opportunityLog all QC remediation in BuildingBlok's daily logReport any significant QC issues to Senior PMEnsure the job site is clean and free of debrisEnsure that all SWiPP protocols are followedInspect the subcontractor's equipment for obvious faults or mechanical failures/issuesProvide a rolling two-week look ahead scheduleEnsure the subcontractors have adequate manpower and equipment on hand to maintain the scheduleInform Client Site Supervisors, and chain of command immediately of any unplanned/unscheduled eventsBe Professional - inform subcontractors of deficiencies and corrections with fair but firm direction.Leave no doubt that your job is to correct and immediately escalate any non-compliance to safety, quality, and performanceBe vigilant - attention to detail shows that you care, that you are professional, and it earns you respect.
