Tunnel Construction Manager
Specialising in the construction of major, complex projects throughout the world our client are jointly delivering one of Australia's most transformational public transport projects.
We are interested in hearing from experienced applicants to fill the role of Tunnel Construction Manager who have had experience in major tunnelling construction projects (TBM).
The role will report to the Construction Director and is a Senior role within the project delivery team.
Key functions will include:
Management and leadership of the construction site and tunnelling site team
To lead delivery of contractual requirements for the tunnelling function.
Ensure project meets WHS targets.
Review cost report in all tunnelling areas, monitor and report on construction budgets.
Ensure subcontractors are managed and deliver to the expected standards.
Encourage and motivate site team so as to utilise the full scope of their abilities to enhance individual, team performance and career opportunities.
Manage project industrial relations to ensure positive and productive workforce outcomes.
We are seeking a candidate with the following profile:
Relevant Tertiary qualifications
Delivery of Major Tunnelling projects for Design and Construction projects with a contractor in Australia or overseas.
Minimum 15 years experience at senior manager level or higher.
Demonstrated experience in overall management of major tunnel construction projects of similar size, character and complexity.
Demonstrated experience in delivering health, safety, quality and environmental objectives.
Demonstrated experience of successfully delivering tunnelling projects undertaken with both direct labour and subcontractors.
