Construction Management Street Operations is looking for a dedicated professional who is highly motivated, resourceful, and articulate with a strong commitment to excellence to join the Materials Management Team. Must demonstrate the ability to manage and strengthen the workforce and provide advice and counsel on personal training and career development. Knowledge of environmental laws and regulation, OSHA rules and regulations for construction to ensure environmental health and safety compliance is required. Excellent interpersonal skills are required to effectively interact with contractors, customers and various levels of management. Must be able to exercise independent judgment and render sound business decisions. Must be well organized, detail oriented, flexible to handle multiple assignments, meet deadlines, and committed to providing exemplary customer service. The ability to evaluate, prioritize and respond to rapidly changing conditions is required. A Bachelor's Degree with 3 years related work experience. In lieu of Bachelor's degree, an Associate Degree with 5 years' work related experience, or High School diploma/GED and 7 years related work experience will be accepted. Must have strong knowledge of computer programs: ORACLE, Material Management System, Access and Excel. Working knowledge of Layout Tracking and COMPASS is preferred. A Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration/Finance/Accounting or any Business Discipline preferred.


The Manager ensures that safe work practices are followed and that the environment is fully protected in accordance with company policy and government regulations. Directs the activities associated with processing material orders, and tracking material and cable used by contractors as well as manage inventory at the contractor's yards. Act as the liaison between internal company organizations, contractors and suppliers to coordinate all material needs for field construction activities. Will track material usage and ensure accurate accounting charges. Coordinate replenishment of inventory for contractors based on usage and project needs to ensure inventory is readily available for construction. Manage the process to confirm accuracy of deliveries to contractor yards from Central Field Services as well as vendor deliveries. Ensures major material and cable inventory levels stored at contractor yards and ensure storage is in accordance with company storage specifications. Ensures good housekeeping standards are followed at contractors' yards. Conduct periodic physical inventory counts for each contractor yard to ensure counts are in line with system on hand levels and research and resolve variations over 10%. Coordinate and expedite direct vendor deliveries as required. Prepare contractual expectations for material storage, accounting and security for all Construction contractors storing company inventory. Develop executive reports providing status updates. Ensure the section's Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) and business objectives are achieved while providing excellent customer service. Work with cost accounting to reconcile between inventories and yard accounts.


Must possess a valid driver's license and travel throughout the company service territory. May be required to work various schedules, including weekends and off hours. Must be available to respond to emergencies as required.
